Sisterhood had two great summer events; a Self Defense Class on
June 4 and a Women's Tea on June 14.
Hoshiyama Self Defense Class
The Hoshiyama Self Defense Class featured many of “The techniques
men didn’t want women to learn.” Oh well! We thank Dr. Alex Sternberg,
7th Dan and former hand to hand combat instructor for the Jewish
Defense League for leading the class and for donating all proceeds
from the night to Arzei Darom in loving memory of his parents, Martin &
Olga Sternberg. We also thank Lori Fein for opening her home for this
event.
Sisterhood Annual Tea
The Women’s Tea was a great success and well attended too. We
thank Chana Tova Scharlat for opening her home for the tea where the
ladies came to enjoy an afternoon of Good Food, Good Friends, and
Divrei Torah. A special thank you to the many sponsors who helped
make the tea a huge success.

Bikur Cholim
The Sisterhood has organized a formal bikur cholim group to visit patients at the Care One facility and Holy Name Hospital. They also help tend to the needs of any other cholim in our community. Any men and women interested in joining the group should please contact Laurie Kilimnick at bikurcholim@arzeidarom.org.
