Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur Seat Reservations

As we begin our preparations for the Yomim Noraim, it is our pleasure to present you with the pricing structure of seats for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur 5779 (September 9th-11th, September 18th-19th.  We strongly encourage you to make your reservations as early as possible online or by filling out the attached form.

As many of you know, due to our continuing growth, each year it has become more difficult to accommodate all those who wish to daven with us on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.  In response, the Board has adopted a number of changes in and effort to enable everyone who wishes to daven with our community, to have an opportunity to do so.  We kindly ask for everyone’s patience and understanding as we implement this new structure.

New for this year, we will  be accepting reservations for Rosh Hashana, OR Yom Kippur, OR both, with separate pricing for each option.  We also are planning to have a parallel minyan at the Blass home, 653 Queen Anne Road, four houses down from our building.  The Blass basement was home to Arzei Darom before we moved to our current building, and they have graciously allowed us to use the space for a second minyan.

Please note that these changes are being made so that we can accommodate everyone who wishes to daven with us.  We plan to cap the size of both minyanim, and reservations will be strictly on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.  If by allowing people to separately reserve for Rosh Hashana or Yom Kippur this resolves our space issues, we reserve the right to collapse the two minyanim into one minyan, to be held in our main sanctuary.  If we do, we will either find seats for all those who signed up for the Blass minyan in the main sanctuary at no extra charge, or, if requested, offer a full refund.

Please use our online form to reserve your seats: https://www.arzeidarom.org/form/rh-yk-seat-reservation-form.html

or, submit names for this year’s Yizkor books (deadline August 1):  NEED LINK.

This year we will again be having assigned seats. Should anyone have any specific request, please contact Jason Bernath at
adlxprt@yahoo.com and he will try his best to accommodate all. Seating requests must be made each year, as we do not keep records of past seat requests. Jason will make every effort to honor all seating requests, but they are not guaranteed.

The Youth Committee will be offering childcare for the younger children during both days of Rosh Hashanah, and during Yom Kippur at Arzei Darom only.  As always, a designated responsible adult must be in the building with their children in case of emergency.  THERE WILL BE NO CHILDCARE AT THE BLASS MINYAN.  People purchasing seats at the Blass minyan can take advantage of the childcare at Arzei Darom, but there must be a responsible adult, in the Arzei Darom building, responsible for each child in groups.  Please register your children online in order to help us plan appropriately.

In addition, for this year, we are encouraging people to contribute to the Yom Kippur appeal in advance. If you would like to contribute to the Yom Kippur appeal now, you can do so with the online form. You will still be able to contribute at Kol Nidre services if you prefer.

In order to reserve seats, a member must be in good financial standing through the end of our Fiscal Year 2017.  If you have any questions about your financial status, or to make special arrangements, please contact Ronald Goldgewert (516-551-9293
treasurer@arzeidarom.org). The reservations are being made on a first served basis, based on the date the reservation form and payment are received. Reservations received without payment will not be considered to be confirmed reservations, and the seat will not be held.

We look forward to sharing a meaningful Yom Tov together with you.
