Our Rabbi

Rabbi Aharon Ciment has been the Rabbi of Congregation Arzei Darom since 2004. He and his family moved from Baltimore, Maryland, where Rabbi Ciment received Rabbinic ordination from Ner Israel Rabbinical College. While in Baltimore, he served as assistant to Rabbi Heinemann. Rabbi Ciment holds a Masters degree in School Administration and Supervision as well as Mental Health and Counseling. Additionally, he has received accreditation from the prestigious Ackerman Institute in New York in Couple and Family Therapy.

Rabbi Ciment was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, where he attended the Hebrew Academy of Greater Miami. He then went on to study in Israel at Yeshivas Ohr Yerushalayim followed by Yeshivas Bais Yisroel. He also studied in Yeshivas Ohr Chaim in Queens, New York.

Currently, Rabbi Ciment is a member of the faculty of the Stone Bais Midrash (SBMP) Program at Yeshiva University. He is also part of the Guidance department at the Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA). His wife, Rachel, is originally from Teaneck, New Jersey and is a graduate of The Moriah School and of the Frisch Yeshiva High School. After Frisch, Rachel went to study in Israel at Midreshet Lindenbaum and then to Yeshiva University Sy Syms School of Business and graduated with a BS in Information Systems. Currently, Rachel is the Director of Student Life at Stern College for Women. Rabbi Ciment and Rachel have, KA"H five beautiful children.
